We were transferred here because our hotel , Hotel Continental closed down during our stay. I cannot believe that they are still using these old rooms. We were transferred in a dark eerie and damp room. Very dusty sheets, covers and pillows with marks. If they will not put you in their main building, they will put you on the building next to it. The rooms are located in a basement with no elevator and just stairs. They should demolish this building because it is hazardous to health especially to people with allergies and asthma like me. Eventhou i explained the situation with them, the room they offered me was even more damp, and moldy smelling which is located at the back of their main building. I have one more day until i leave, i will never ever book with Hotel Continental and I will not even consider Hotel La Solitude in my next visit. They need to demolish their building first or renovate their rooms.
We just returned from Lourdes this week. Can't recommend Hotel La Solitude highly enough. The room was spotless, clean Towels every day. The room & bathroom were spotless. The staff were so helpful, & cheery when we met them on the corridor. The atmosphere of the whole place was great. I can't recommend, The Hotel Solitude highly enough. Keep up the good work
We stayed there for 5 days we were on a pilgrimage. This is lovely hotel.Staff so kind .food was good. Rooms serviced daily. Clean towels everyday.I highly recommend .
Beautiful view on the river. Comfortable rooms and the restaurant serves excellent food. Really convenient location in close proximity to the shrine. The only problem we had seems to be a common issue in European hotels at this time of year. The main HVAC is switched off so there are no environmental controls in your room. We had to sleep with the balcony door open, not too much of an issue on the sixth floor except the people in the town of Lourdes seem to like to socialize rather loudly late into the night.
Very attentive staff. Stayed on full board and food was varied and good quality. Bar staff friendly and helpful special mention for Tari and Darcie they made a lovely stay a real pleasure.
