A bit of 18th century Modern perhaps but not my idea of fun. Surrounded by Vatican shops and sickly people being pushed or towed around the area not to mention hoards of cigarette smoking oldies waiting for their guide bus to the holy shrine at the front door and reception this was up there with my worst ever accom experiences. Never again.

Wonderfull hotel and staff. The first building to have electricity, thus the name moderne. In less than 5 minutes walking time to Grotte. The best nights rest ever. For my 75th birthday, the hotel sent out a bana cream cake with 2 fire works blazing on top. It was also Mrs. Winnie' s 76th birthday and a banner was made with both our names on the banner. A nice gesture well appreciated since I grew up in a family that never celebrated birthdays, sweet 16, or turning 21 or anything else, such as accomplishments.
Great place to stay, very nice and helpful english-speaking staffs. The location is also very strategic, lots of restaurant, and very near to the sanctuary. Highly recommended!
Good size room. Good food in hotel restaurant. No toiletries in room. The air conditioning is controlled from the front desk. Not impressed after coming fro Abba hotels.
